eBay Fund Raising

EBay is an online auction site that lists items for sale around the world. A lot of countries will have their own eBay listings where you can search pages from your own region; however they can also list items from abroad. The eBay fund raising campaign means that you can list some of your items and donate either all or part of the proceeds to your desired charity. It also means that charities can have their own listings to auction off their own goods.
How the EBay Fund Raising Campaign Works
The eBay fund raising campaign is known as the ‘eBay Giving Works’ project which works directly with an organisational called ‘Mission Fish’ which is a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping raise funds for charities. If you decide that you would like to help this program, your listing will appear as normal on the eBay site. However the ‘Mission Fish’ logo, a small blue and yellow ribbon, will appear next to it. This means that part of or all of the proceeds of this sale will be donated to charity.
If you cannot find your charity that you wish to donate to you are able to approach ‘Mission Fish’ and ask them to approach the charity in question about joining eBay fund raising. Normally these charities are only too happy to receive whatever donations they can so do not think that because yours is not listed you are unable to make donations to them. As with any other donation that you make any that are listed for eBay fund raising can be issued with a receipt from ‘Mission Fish’.
The fees that apply to normal trading also apply to eBay fund raising. ‘Mission Fish’ will take their operating costs from your donation. Even though they are a non-profit organization they still have their own costs that need to be met in order for them to keep running. These fees will not affect you however, as they will be taken directly from the donation. Your normal eBay fees will be applied to your auction sale item.
EBay fund raising is a great way for you to make donations to your favourite charity. This money goes a long way to help disadvantaged people and is also ploughed into research which makes life changing discoveries all the time. It is a simple program to sign up to and the benefits are long lasting.
